DESCRIPTION:

A Horse's Thought I've been riding nearly all of my -- well, let's just say, I'm a very "seasoned citizen," so a lot of years of riding. My experiences over the many years have included a number of years showing/competing (mostly in pleasure and trail obstacle classes), until I discovered the world of Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt many years ago. I was very blessed to have been to a number of their clinics, as well as many of their proteges over the years. I have read all the books. A Horse's Thought, Between the Reins, Further Along the Trail I just completed reading this set of three books, and I am re-reading for a second round. The concepts that Tom Moats expresses are subtle and elusive, delving into deeper and deeper understanding of a horse's point of view. It is fascinating and intriguing to relate Tom's experiences to my own interactions with horses. This is not a step one, step two, step three type of book, but one of honest and real inquiry, self examination, aha moments, and good humor. . I am grateful for this book and Harry's clinics! C. Anderson I'm so glad that Tom Moates wrote this book about Harry Whitney. I have attended three of Harry Whitney's clinics and read all of Tom's books. The difference it has made in my life is staggering. The only bad thing I can say about Harry Whitney is that he won't self-promote, write books, market videos, etc.Thankfully, Harry lets Tom Moates write about his training methods and his clinics. Harry has made an incredible difference in my horse's life and my riding
