Fun story but not for me Obtained an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.For a rebellious romantic comedy, it was fine. I expected this to be a historical fiction romance, so I found myself utterly bewildered and annoyed until I finally realized the book was being like this ON PURPOSE. Then I was all ooooh. Ok. It's kind of like "Knight's Tale," it's suppose to be historical-ish b. "Antonia rides and shoots like a man but would never be mistaken as one" according to Angel Hatfield. Then she meets highlander Breck Claymore. But just as things warm up Antonio discovers a secret and rides off to find her real mother Mary Queen OF Scots. But then Antonia is kidnapped by a villain. Although c. "This book was a fun and enjoyable read" according to Rebecca Goss. This book was a fun and enjoyable read. I was confused for a bit, expecting it to be a regency type romance. Then the characters speak about Prada and designer clothes that would not have been available during that time frame. It mixes the modern with the old delightfully.
