DESCRIPTION:
Sadly disappointing Sadly, I have to give it one star. The book is more of a travelogue about hotels and restaurants at each racing venue than about Sid Watkins medical and safety contributions to Formula One. Included is a complete synopsis of the 2000 Formula One season which is more about Sid's view on who he wants to be the champion than anything that happens of a medical nature. He also includes a chapter on the driver's that he knows from the 2000 season and the past. The final part of the book is simply filled with statistics and race data that is. Watkins has such broad access to the motor racing fraternity that every section is an insider account, especially when he goes to the aid of Michael Schumacher in the famous 1999 Silverstone crash and recommends a heart bypass operation for Bernie Ecclestone in the same year. Covering safety issues as well, the m
