Revive US Manufacturing J.E.P. M.N.'s book is an easy read. For me one of the most impressive characteristics was the amount of information it contained, the amount of work that had to go into research and the coverage from historical to current times. While I have been involved in manufacturing and operations for more years than I care to admit, I found a lot of information that I was not aware of. I can highly recommend the book not just for operations professionals but even more for C level exec. "Made in the USA" according to Tom Field. Can American Manufacturing Be Saved? (Why We Should and How We Can) by Michele Nash-Hoff is encyclopedic. Great if you're writing a paper of preparing a speech. Not so great if you're rallying the troops or advocating real change. The title fails to answer its own question. And the sub-title's provisions are too numerous and scattered. Plus, it reads like a Stephen Colbert title, though comedy and satire are far from our author's intention. Still, the book is well-res. Outstanding book I found this book to be an outstanding read, as well as a great reference book as it's full of facts and figures from reputable government and other organizations.
