Jesus, Deighton can Write! Patrick L. Boyle I've read almost all his fiction and his non-fiction. He's a superbly interesting historian of WWII. And his many Bernard Samson books are the best spy books ever written - vastly preferable to the dour and depressing John Le Carre books.I haven't finished this yet. I seem to have misplaced it somewhere after I read the first couple stories. I think my three favorite writers as of now are Deighton, Bernard Cornwell and Tom Wolfe.
