A most entertaining and informative read RosieBee I was lucky enough to meet Thelma earlier this year and when I read the book that she and Peter Frye had written, she went even higher in my estimation. It was a fascinating account of so many aspects of their two lives, both before and after they met. Peter was involved in the Spanish Civil War and I learnt a lot about that from his first-hand account. Their respective tales of the theatre were entertaining and interesting, for instance, Maggie Smith was once told that if she worked at it, she could be a second Thelma Ruby!
