Get yourself a notebook to keep notes as you go Big fan of the series from book 1 (Dying For A Living) where the books have humour are sarcastic and have a good supernatural aspect to them. But, as many have said in reviews before this, this book is out of place, dry, flat, and somewhat discombobulated when it comes to timeline and characters. I feel if you picked this book up to read without reading the first two you'd be lost in a sea of unexplained characters, plot and you'd be left lost in the story. I do love the different character's points of view but Brinkley's Not so much. If I started on this book I wouldn't have finished . April Chaney said Oh Jim. Getting to know more about Brinkley's past and just more about him in general was great. From Ally and Jessie's points of view it's sometimes really hard to see Brinkley as anything more than a gruff handler. This book really gives insight into his feelings about the kids and why he is working so hard to strengthen Jessie when all she wants to do is slack off.. Not as good as first 2 in series I did not like this 3rd book in the series. I really liked the first two books in the series. I hope the next book is better.
