"Pretty good, except" according to Loves to read and review. If one took out the talking in her head complaining, there would be a lot less story. Maybe even one quarter of the words less story. That said, and it could be that I've forgotten the intensity of teenage angst since I'm over sixty, the rest of the story was very interesting. However, it needed more action. It seemed like everything happened in the space of a couple weeks, and there just needed to be more time spent doing normal life for the characters to be more fully fleshed out. There were three deaths, two great loves found and the world saved from the apocalypse, but even though that seems like a. Kindle Customer said Good story of good vs evil in a different vein. Based on myths, the characters must battle their mythical enemies. Told from the human perspective, it's an engrossing story. I very much enjoyed the description of powerful emotions being experienced and could personally relate to many of them, especially grief. Did not enjoy the young romance and angst as it felt very much like a YA genre novel. If you like that or can get past it, the story is good, if not particularly believable.
