DESCRIPTION:

Great ideas for printmaking and installations This book was recommended by a friend, and so I bought it. It has some unusual uses for printmaking, taking it from 2 to 3-D objects. The photos are in color and the overall quality of the book is good. The ideas are there so you can be inspired to expand your art. However, the text is sometimes short on explaining the techniques, you'll have to experiment a bit. But I love the book, it has inspired me to move beyond the usual.. Andrea said interesting art, poorly written text. The artists in this publication are making some great work and I can see how it would be inspirational to artists, however the text is minimally informative and badly edited, making the book less useful for art historians or anyone writing on contemporary printmaking. The artist-author had made some interesting work, but as she features it in nearly every chapter the book is more self-promotional than balanced in its layout. A useful listing of suppliers, studios and organization websi. PM in LA PM in LA This is a very well written and informative book. Although it is a rather small handbook, it has some good documentation of amazing installations. I use it for reference and inspiration. Who said printmaking is a thing of the past? It is alive and changing in fascinating ways!
