"Book is *swear word* amazing!" according to kay_queen. So far, amazing. Just got it and opened to a random page and was hit by the two things I was hoping for: pagan or not Christian (although it's not un-Christian, just not pro-Christian) and smart. I want to read more than "stand outside barefoot and wiggle your toes while counting your breaths in odd exhales" or something obnoxious like that. I want real mindfulness and intellect and this book has it. I'm very glad I bought it and I look forward to reading it this year.. "The little passages to read in here are pretty good. Rarely do I find something that really" according to Arie Farnam. The little passages to read in here are pretty good. Rarely do I find something that really speaks to my particular spiritual path and this is pretty good. It is earth-focused. The Wiccan-style holidays are mentioned but that is about the only overtly Wiccan part. There is some use of the four elements idea but it is general enough to appeal to many people who follow an earth-based path. Most of the days activities have to do ith some sort of meditation, journal writing or taking a brief moment outdoors. From hat I have seen so far, it is all doable.I'm giving it only four stars primarily beca. Sustainability is where it's at! I am really digging this book of tidbits that are fun and easy to implement, or not as you desire. Hang a bat house, bless your soil, start some seeds, make a homemade multi purpose cleaner, connect with a tree. A daily idea!
