The last two books of the author I read were both fantasy novels – a was a little surprised to find a science fiction novel in my email.The book setups up a space race between the United States, Russia, and China to reach an alien artifact. I really enjoyed the setting of a second moon race, it took me back to all the challenges we faced with our first moon shot. This time around the challenge is compounded by the fact we don't have a suitable rocket to ge. Jack D. said Can't Wait for the Next One!. I read a lot of science fiction, easily approaching a 1,000 novels, so I speak with some authority: Lunar Discovery is really really good (just shy of exceptional). The writing is clear, concise and without error (it's so rare to read a novel without spelling, syntax, grammar errors these days). The science is solid and well incorporated, allowing for a very strong suspension of disbelief. I was hooked right from the beginning and the near perfect pacing kept me there right thru the final chapter. I won’t give away any spoilers, but the . Good read, plan on having to read the next one M. Sotta Liked the book, good characters, lots of action. But, really left the reader hanging at the end. Not sure I'd call this a full, stand alone, book. Expected to get more without having to wait and buy the next book, so kinda disappointed with that.
