"A Detailed look at its use and construction" according to John Matlock. Most people, I think, consider the P-51 to have been the most effective fighter of World War II. It was unique in it's ability to fly with the heavy bombers all the way to Berlin and back. It was more maneuverable than the Spitfire and had more fire power. At the same time I think most people would also agree that the Me 262 was the most advanced fighter in the war. It was the first and just about the only plane to see front line service, except for the Gloster Meteor which was primarily kept in England for use against the V-1's.This book is very interesting . Five Stars George Bracken A book for the modeler. Lots of detail close up photos, a description of variants, and color profiles.
