"Great book!" according to Amazon Customer. I HATE research but because of this book I was successful. Great book!. deborah said Three Stars. Boring subject and presentation. Required textbook. "A readable guide on a difficult subject" according to F.N. Ott. Having read the other reviews here, I have to give my two cents worth. This book is about research and statistics -- a difficult subject at best. Yet this author manages to make the subject readable, understandable, and even pleasant (at times; I'm not Pollyanna.) There are plenty of boxes and associated material to break up the reading and provide useful examples. I really like the "Voices from the Field" that starts each chapter with a story about that particular aspect of research. There are a lot of definitions
