This book is worth 1000x it's weight in bird seed Hardware Guy I was going through quite a bit of bird seed over the past 35 or so years. I would try to feed the birds, only to be left with an empty pocket book, skinny birds, and fat squirrels.I have tried many books over the years, all of which offered no real solutions: The Dummies Guide to Squirrels, Conquering squirrels in 14 days, Controlling Wild Squirrels in 24 Hours, The Idiots Guide to feeding birds. Not a one of these cost less than $39.95 and provided me with nothing to show for it. I felt like the man trying to perform. topbook said about the book. Birdloving Americans face a common enemy: the squirrel. This fast, crafty, incredibly greedy creature casts our pleasrues to the wind, brings his buddies to lunch, and pillages our birdfeeders before our eyes! Here at last is the answer this book is a defense manual for besieged feeders of birds. Spooker poles, Perrier bottles, baffled fishing line, vaseline, water bombs, cayenne pepper and Nixalite. And they rate birdfeeders, discuss seed, and more.. GG said Difficult to outwit squirrels. Purchased book as gift to a neighbor who tries daily to outwit squirrels from scrambling up her peach trees for breakfast, her birdfeeders for lunch, and pecan trees for dinner. Neighbor said she thoroughly enjoyed the book but has not yet given specifics to me. Think she's still laughing.
