P said Not as good. This book was not as informative as I had hoped for. Has some helpful information but not as much as I can find elsewhere.. So many ideas! I have been wanting to build my own home for a while now but it's going to be so expensive. A friend of mine suggested I look into building using a shipping container as it can be up to 60% cheaper than a traditional build!! This book is so amazing! He takes you through the whole process! It explains right from start to finish- how to get permits, what to look for when buying a container. I really liked the sample layouts and the photos of shipping container houses- you wouldn't even know they used a shipping container! Highly recommended!. Jesse D. said Not very helpful. It read like a fifth grader wrote it. Lots of grammar issues and no useful information. I was hoping this was a real world guide to construction w tips and examples of issues that may arise when building these types of homes. Like tips on connecting two or more, or how much can you cut away and still have structural integrity. It's very general and no way the complete guide it boasts to be.
