He is in rehabilitation after the severe injuries he received while serving in Sangin District, Afghanistan in October 2009. He is receiving on going treatment for his left arm, which was also damaged and is now fitted with a metal plate. He is also involved with The Soldiers Charity, meeting amazing and inspirational people who push themselves to their physical and mental limit to raise much-needed funds.
