M. Jarrett said What Happened??. I'm a huge fan of this series, but this book just left me cold. The start of the book was jarring, and I had a difficult time remembering where we had last left off. Chapter 1 of this book could just as easily have been Chapter "What Happened??" according to M. Jarrett. I'm a huge fan of this series, but this book just left me cold. The author doesn't help out at all with summaries of past events, or reminders of why the characters are all protecting a young new vampire. The book just never went any where, and I am A BIG Fan, I have ALLL her books and this one just did not have it.. "The Reluctant Vampire" according to Jean Lomax. Save your money. This book is lacking in character development and plot. Boring. There is no tension in the story line. The characters are flat and one dimensional. I am so disappointed. It is totally lacking in the humor that marks Sands'previous books in the series. And yes I have read them all. I don't know if the author is bored with the series or was just having trouble churning this one out. Total waste of my time and my money. I can't even justify one star for this review
