Reeled me in--eventually I have to admit that I put this book down 2 or 3 times with the thought of not finishing. The beginning is a bit slow. Perhaps my expectations were pretty high based on the reviews the series has gotten and I didn't feel the first hundred pages or so . It was difficult to put the book down until the very last page. The story and excitement mounted with each turn of the page. I can't remember the las. wonderful book series the book started out a little disappointing with every character dying after you got to know them but shortly into the book you realize that there is so much more. the numerous characters can be hard to follow at times but you get attached and hooked
