Good information - Needs better maps Media Buyer Good book for the treasure coast treasure hunter. The only thing that I found lacking was detailed maps. There are some map images, but they show such a small area, with little context and few landmarks, that it will be difficult to use this map to locate the exact area. Better maps and/or GPS coordinates of the areas would be helpful. Maybe there will be a second edition with this additional detail.
Soon to be published by the author is a history of the ill-fated 1715 Spanish treasure fleet with an analysis of the treasure finds recovered, and a translation of the fleet manifest that describes in detail what is yet to be found. This book tells you which of the wrecks were the most valuable, directs you to the beaches opposite the wrecks, shows you computerized tracks of these finds touching the beaches for over a mile, and then it’s up to you. But on at least one occasion when three young divers found a solid gold glove tray just offshore the state had it appraised for $23,000 and gave the finders that amount in recovered gold coins.
