Were You There? Judy E. Friend Were You There was selected by our adult education class for a lenten study piece. The chapter length is easily read in a week during a busy schedule. The points by the author are realistic and relavent. This is used in a class of 40 and upward to 80's with great interest.. Bring us All to the Foot of the Cross I greatly appreciated the way the author tried to get the readers to be able to relate to the characters who were around Jesus before during and after the crucifixion. He devotes a chapter to many of the most familiar players in that drama. In each chapter, he talks about what each one might have gone through, then totally makes it so you can relate to that person. I was most interested in trying to walk through Peter's dilemma as he denied Christ three times, then heard the cock crow and saw Jesus catch his eye. The author nailed that and th. Silly Sally said lenten reading. very good read takes us to the cross with the rest of the people. Did some soul searching while reading this.
