AK said Good real life practice for following directions, using reading as a tool and supplemental to a science curriculum.. If you are looking for a full science curriculum this is NOT the book you want. If you would like to work on process skills, following directions and have an activity for children to do with their parents then this is sufficient. The negative comment posted is something I 100% do not agree with. If you are a teacher and understand curriculum, common core standards and . "More activities than work." according to Amanda Chipman. So maybe my own fault since this is titled hands-on science; however I thought there would be more worksheets or project-type work in this book. I teach Special Ed. and need materials to work with 1-2 students at a time. This book has a lot of activities that would really only work for a small group (6-10ish). Lots of ideas of what to do but not really the materials yo. Great for Home School! I use this book as a supplement to home-school curriculum. My son really likes the themes and activities. We love the recommended book lists as well!
