You could feel the emotions of the women involved. I cried with their defeats and rejoiced with their victories. A defiant recommendation is given for the book and the author. WELL DONE!. This heartfelt story grabbed my attention & kept it occupied until the end. Behind Closed Doors had a well written detailed storyline as the content examined an unfortunate traumatic situation. Smith provided pertinent background information to better understand Sierra, Latrice & Alex & how they dealt with issues in their adult lives. The characters, Alex, Sierra, and Latrice's individual stories are detailed in a diary-like concept to allow the reader to understand their perspective lives. I thought A.L. Great read & c
