It took many years of reading absurd amounts of books, several unfinished manuscripts and very persistent life experiences to realize this. After their initial crash-meeting in the tunnels of the underground, she seems to bump into him everywhere: in the library and even on the street. So when he offers to give her a tour of the old places in Wales - not far from his home - she can't help but wonder who fate has brought her. Will she be able to finish her thesis? Or is this her life’s final chapter?. What she didn't expect was Emrys. He knows almost as much as she does about her subject area - and he's not even in school! His actions are sometimes awkward, and very out-of-the-blue - often to the level of absurdity. As the legends get closer and the journey becomes more dangerous, Dyllan finds more questions and fewer answers. When Dyllan Carter ships off to London to start a Master's in Medieval Literature, she expects to spend a lot of time in the library, to write a lot of papers, and to develop acute tendinitis before she finishs her thesis on the difference between Merlin the myth and Merlin the man
Now Just To Find My Merlin Jessi LOVED IT! SO GLAD I BOUGHT IT! WOULD'VE BEEN VERY VERY SAD IF I HAD TO GIVE IT BACK TO THE LIBRARY! One of the rare occasions when I've bought a book before reading it and I'm so glad I did. It was fantastic. I loved the story, so cool. This was one of the books that brought me out of that slump I had been in since the end of Merlin. Now it's like I have a little bit of a Merlin forever with me.. "Refined Magic" according to Mary Josefina Cade. Like the author I have a strong interest and fascination with Merlin. So I couldn't resist this book. Dyllan is a very attractive main character, refreshingly innocent and enthusiastic. I enjoyed reading about her arrival in London from the US, her passion for books and for Merlin. Unlike most young main characters Dyllan focuses strongly on her studies, avoiding clubbing and complicated love affairs but not magic. Or is it magic? What is going on? This book held my attention right up to the last page, which I have to admit, left me slightly confused. I'm still thinking about it and what it all meant. It's impossible to discuss . Much love for this book! Merlin is one of those characters who, in one form or another, has been written about more times than a person can count. In my experience, there is no in-between portrayal of Merlin, it is either good or bad. This story is one of the really good ones. I liked that the story addressed both Merlin as myth and Merlin as man and that both aspects were worked into the story. I liked that there was magic present in the story but that it wasn't the main focus and didn't drive everything that happened. One problem I did have was how Emrys treated Dyllan, which was completely rude, and how she just accepted it without any anger. I also
