Sean McWilliams said Broad and useless book. I've been learning MVC and was having trouble with entity framework. I got this book, thinking it was just what I needed. a small guide for code first EF. However, this book teaches EF assuming you already have a good understanding of the concepts behind EF. it walks you through a console application similar to MSDN. Examples without any info about or where they would go in an actual program. i just read such a horrible explanation of navigation propertie. "Disappointing" according to Felix. The author knows a lot about EF. I've seen his presentations and blog posts. Unfortunately, it turns out to be not enough to write a book. The first question for any technical book - who is your audience? This book goes into excruciating details about trivial things - so I would assume that it will be a .NET developer unfamiliar with EF. It also goes into detailed explanation of LINQ - so the reader is expected to be not very familiar with .NET either. Bu. "All you need to know to understand and manage Code-First Entity Framework" according to Morris Bahrami. A very informative and properly concise book. It explains how Entity Framework code – first has been set and should be used. I found it every useful.
