Excelllent choice for beginner or a refresher course EleanorC This author is an excellent teacher, using explicit photography with each step as well as easy to understand instructions. There are also troubleshooting photos which I have found helpful (as in oh yes, that's what I did wrong when I tried that before). I really needed the section on choosing colors that work well together as I'm not an artist and needed help in that direction. I've crocheted for a long time but never took it "to the next level". I have other books on crochet but none have been as helpful or as easy to understand as this one. The projects are ones that I would like to make and use. Also included is the we. Great Crochet Gem!
