Lighten Up and Laugh Jody Pages into Dress Up, Joel had me laughing and continued to do so throughout the book. That is, up until the end where he had tears in my eyes.Dress Up is a phenomenal story about Wyatt Stark, a Broadway director going to the big screen with his successful musical, Dress Up. Since Wyatt is dealing with panic attacks and looking for true love after a relationship gone bad, his ex-lover, best friend and manager, Murphy Smith, sends Wyatt to Maine for a few months, away from all the anxiety, before they start the filming process in Hollywood. Murphy has sent his assistant, Ryan Taylor, to prepare Murphy's home for Wyatt's stay o. Enjoy the Show Joel has written a wonderful love story that takes you from New York to Maine to Los Angeles. His descriptions of the settings enhance the story. The characters of Wyatt and Ryan are beautifully crafted-they make you laugh and cry. The plot of the story flows along so that you want to keep turning the pages. A good story develops a problem that requires resolution for the reader to be satisfied. Joel does an excellent job of first getting the reader to make a connection with his characters, Wyatt and Ryan. When the problem(s) arise in the plot of the story, you want the characters to work things out. This was my first experie. J. V. Mills said So so. While I thought this would be a nice read the subject and dialogue is so far out of my realm of experiences and age range I found it difficult to continue the read. Perhaps for a younger audience. Just not for me.

Distressed and desperately in love, Ryan weaves a web of lies in an effort to secure Wyatt's heart, hoping and praying that their romance can survive the deception. It's there that Wyatt meets and falls for Ryan Taylor-but Ryan isn't who he portrays himself to be. Wyatt is taking his wildly successful musical to Hollywood with the help of his business partner, Murphy. But Wyatt is on the edge, overworked by the industry and overwrought by a terrible breakup, and so he agrees to spend the summer before production starts recuperating at Murphy's secluded beach house in Maine. Broadway director Wyatt Stark's smash hit, Dress Up, a free-spirited, spaghetti strap of a tale set during New York's legendary fashion week, has played at full capacity for almost two years. When Wyatt discovers the truth, will their love be there to stay, or will it be, like a worn-out fashion trend, yesterday's news?
