Four Stars Katarina Huff Great info. Could Have Been a Great Book Bon Hiver This book had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, many theories were poorly described, debated and none were referenced. If you want to know what his conclusions are, just read the last chapter - that was the most helpful and truthful part of this too-long book. His ideas about the energetics of various foods were unfounded and confusing. Sometimes they agreed with TCM or other substantiated food energetic theories, sometimes not. But he does offer by the bushels way too much disorganization and pages of poorly written conclusions. This is one of the worse books on nutrition I have ever read. I was very disappointed. Like I ment. DTR said Beware. This entire book is complete fiction. Don't waste your money on it and don't waste your time on the crazy theories that it sets forth. It imparts a living wisdom that is beyond the science and mechanics of calories, grams, and nutrient values. With the rise of agribusiness and industrial food production, people have become disconnected from the sources of their food and are no longer able to register the subtle rhythms, harmony, and energies that food can convey. This separation has thrown the basic human-food relationship out of balance--to the detriment of human consciousness. By demonstrating how to plan meals that incorporate both dominant and compliant foods, he shows how to provide truly healthy cuisine that nourishes the body and the soul.. He provides a comprehensive catalog of foods and their corresponding energetic properties and explains how each food affects us at the deepest spiritual level. Explains how food imparts a living wisdom that is separate from the science of nutrient values• Offers an approach to diet from the perspective of ancient peoples, who understood how the energetic qualities of food affect both physical and spiritual health• Includes a comprehensive catalog of the energetic properties of myriad foods--from chicken, beef, and
