DESCRIPTION:
One of my first romance novels and still a favorite! Oh, I love this book. I have a tattered, much-loved copy of this on my bookshelf and re-visit the story and characters whenever I get a chance. It is pure fantasy. Ashley Wheeler falls and bangs her head in a storm then she wakes up in the middle of the events surrounding Paul Revere's ride in Boston during the American Revolution. The Hero is a unk. Cute, quick read. Having just finished a more serious historical fiction novel, Shadowbrook: A Novel of Love, War, and the Birth of America, which was set during the French and Indian War, this was a cute and quick read for me to continue into the American Revolution. Ashley's numerous modern references and the contents of her bag made for several giggles. My only qu. "cute story" according to Marilyn. Lori Copeland is a fun author. Her books always have humor and a great storyline. I have never been disappointed spending time with one of her books. This was a simple but sweet story. If you are just finding Lori's books, this would be a place to start. Enjoy!
As Ashley temporarily escapes Aaron, meets Rachel Revere, tags along on Paul Revere's famous ride, and, of course, falls in love with Aaron, she tries to make sense of events by filtering them through her tour-guide spiel, a device with comic potential that Copeland lacks the panache to fulfill. She realizes how selfish she's been and, when she wakes up in Joel's arms, resolves that "Never, ever again would she complain about his job." Copyright 1992 Reed Business Information, Inc.
