"Nice easy summer reading" according to Biblioholic. This is a good series for relaxing and enjoying -- a nice, uncomplicated, easy reading set. The characters are likeable, almost too good to be true in some cases. The look at the hardships suffered by the British during and after WWII are interesting and eye-opening. One grammar quibble -- "off of" is not appropriate and the characters are too well educated to be using it -- the word is from. Given the lack of grammar and editing errors in the books, this one stands out.
