"A good, easy to read, series." according to Loving Grandma. This is the second in the Maria Kallio series. I have also read the third, and enjoyed each of them so far. There are murders, but very little detailed description. The stories are more based on how Maria tenaciously works through solving them. She is a character who is aware of, and accepts, her own faults, and someone I would enjoy knowing. Would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good story but does not enjoy a great deal of graphic violence and sex.. "Not my type of read" according to LAgrammie. I am trying to get through all 5 books in the series. I made the mistake and purchased all 5 at one time for my Kindle without knowledge of the author. Leena Lehtolainen has entirely too many characters with similar names and the pace is slow from start to finish. I am hopeful with each book that it will improve and am disappointed that it doesn't.. Amazon Customer said Good .mystery. I liked the intrigue around the murderer and other plot elements but the foreign names seemingly so similar slowed down my ability to become absorbed in the story. A few helpful descriptions interspersed when characters reappeared would have helped me identity similar sounding characters more easily. Or better yet give people dissimilar names.
