DESCRIPTION:
This turned out to be easier said than done. It was this success that led him to write a practical 'cook book' for the benefit of others. With 130 color photos and 30 diagrams, this book takes the beginner through all the necessary stages and processes in painting a model engineering subject.. The author spent 6 years building a model of an LNER B1 locomotive ('Bongo") and wanted to paint it to a high standard. Finally, the author won a gold medal at the 2004 Model Engineer Exhibition. The complete process took 2 years of frustration, mistakes and wrong directions
Timothy E Miller said Great book.. This book would be a great addition to any hobbyist who's been through the frustrations of painting a model of any scale. Christopher Vine's systematic approach brakes down the painting process with a keen understanding, earned by doing and making many of the same mistakes any professional or none professional would encounter. Anyone who has labored over a cherished model only to be disappointed (or worse) by the paint job should read and refer again and again to this book.. Five Stars D L Brightwell very useful text!
