We Love Lyle A Customer This is our first (and favorite) Lyle book. It is a cute story, enjoyable for the whole family. Of course, it has a happy ending, and Lyle is the hero. Although it is rather long, my 2 1/2 year old has memorized it, and knows if I miss a word. I highly recommend it. We can't wait to get started with the other Lyle books, and hope that they are as good.. Incoherent non-plot and too much plot at the same time A thoughtful purchaser This book is such a hodgepodge! It's as though four or five editors got together to advise the author. One said it should be a Halloween book, with Lyle in a pirate costume; one said it should be about Lyle's popularity and desirability for product endorsement (toothpaste or cereal); one said it should be about Lyle causing Mr. Pimm to lose his job and the family members all chip in to earn money; another said it should be about Lyle visiting a daycare, and throw in a drawing of Lyle's mother -- who is a nurse at a maternity ward??
