She's a material girl, living in a material world filled with diamonds, furs, limousines, celebrities, and private planes. She's had a secret crush on him for years. National bestselling author Keisha Ervin delivers a sophisticated love story filled with laughter, witty banter and excessive shopping!. When State leaves her heart in shambles, she turns to Angel, her best friend's brother. Dylan Monroe is the kind of chick females love to hate, but children and dogs mysteriously adore. To the world, she has it all, but behind closed doors, she has nothing. Almost bankrupt, she finds solace with State, a wealthy entrepreneur with a heart of steel, the man who breaks her heart time and time again
Material Girl tani8604 Definitely a great read that I didn't want to put down. Dylan was so blinded by materialistic things that she often found herself making many mistakes. She allowed one mans lies to cause her to lose the best thing she'd ever had. Billie and Tee-Tee were great friends to have because they often kept it real regardless of how harsh it seemed. Tee-Tee was beyond a trip and I truly loved his character. Billie was caught up in Cain but it was good knowing Knox was able to bring some joy back into her life. Now . "Dylan was way too materialistic but I like her. Her mama was cut throat and Dylan" according to Felicia Strong. OK, Dylan was way too materialistic but I like her. Her mama was cut throat and Dylan did learn her bad habits. She was stupid for keeping on fooling with State, and he was cut throat too! She met Angel and he did her right, she just couldn't leave State alone, now she has her belly full, but whose baby will it be?! Oh juicy!!!On to part 2 to find out.. SHOULD HAVE BEEN MATERIAL GIRL BY THE WRITERS OF SEX AND THE CITY! Milan Moore Let me say this, I think Keisha Ervin is an amazing writer, that's why I always have enjoyed her books. So the robbing of the Sex and the City storyline was not only enraging, but disappointing. And completely unnecessary! It would have been good without it! I saw someone mentioned her "borrowing" scenes from Sex and the City series for this book, but that is not true. The characteristics, storyline, and the exact script and dialogue was stolen, and I don't respect that, I don't care how good a writer is o
