I bought the book during the summer before 6th grade while at Barnes & Noble during a family vacation and it was actually pretty helpful.You can't really expect to read this and have no troubles though,because you. When I finished the book, two days later, I was already ready to start the new year of school again. This book is great for kids who feel like they need help with what to do in middle school. It's been a while since I read it, but I was looking over it the other day and it really is a good book to read BEFORE middle school. A lot of it focuses on preparation and "the first day", so I wouldn't suggest reading it in the middle of the year but do read it! It's a well written
