"Five Stars" according to Andrew K.. Fun supplement for lazy DM's.. good for learning the rules It is not too bad of an adventure set. But the motivation is "there's monsters out there, go kill 'em, and bring back the loot." This aspect they did improve in the other adventure sets offered on Amazon, giving better motivation and stories behind, through and around the adventure. Still as a first adventure to learn. "Not quite Keep on the Borderlands, but a good fascimile" according to Jeremy Reaban. This is inspired by the famous D&D module, Keep on the Borderlands. That was the beginning adventure that many people started with, and it's often been imitated - a small fort in the wilderness where PCs could venture out and explore from.Most imitations miss something, but this hits the mark pretty closely.
This campaign module includes: The Western Lands: A briefly sketched campaign area; Morgansfort: A detailed "home base" for an adventuring party; The Old Island Fortress: A two level dungeon suitable for beginning adventurers; The Nameless Dungeon: A tough three level dungeon; and The Cave of the Unknown: A dungeon controlled by an evil magic-user..
