This book is for every man who is tired of living in a prison with no locks on its doors and wants to kick the enemy out of his house.. Has Your Struggle Against Sin Become a Truce? This is the book for Christian men who have read all the books on every man's struggle, attended all the conferences, installed all the anti-porn software, spilled their guts to accountability partners - yet are still getting beat up by more than temptation. It describes how a seminary-trained pastor (with as many qualms as you about the potential excesses of spiritual warfare) was delivered from demonic deception and delusion. It describes that missing piece of the puzzle (the one we silently avoid!) necessary to evict the spirits that deceive us. Drive Out the Spirits That Masquerade As Your Own ThoughtsNo Demons, Please We're Evangelical is the personal testimony of an evangelical written for evangelicals
Michael D. Alford said Exposing demons hidden in plain site. Really enjoyed reading this book. The author exposes the demons that influence us, which are ignored and explained away by most Christians.Think Christians can't be possessed by demons? Well, that all depends on what you mean when you say demon possession. Thought Provoking and Scripturally Based The author openly describes his struggles and how the Evangelical community is blindsided by demonic influences in their Christian walk. My demons were different but my lack of victory in my life mirrored his own. My Evangelical teaching left me feeling hopeless in the face of my repeated sins. All my self discipline, Bible memory and Bible study did not open the door to freedom but the power of Jesus' authority expe. "Good - but subtitle a bit misleading" according to P. Coleman. I read this book and enjoyed it and think the author had some very valid points. However, the subtitle ("The Spiritual Roots of Addiction") left me hungering for more than the content offered. The author touched on addiction with his own testimony but didn't really explore it in the depth that I expected. The book mainly focused on a rebuke to the evangelical world for being slow to accept the operation of demons tod
