"Several pages caked with mud/soil." according to HRSPotter. Many pages were caked with a layer of mud. Looked like the book had fallen into mud or stepped on. Looks like somebody (seller or previous owners) tried to cover their tracks by cleaning up the book nicely but forgetting some pages at inside. Unfortunately, I couldn't catch this until after a few weeks when I got to the later chapters. Horrendous quality control/negligence by the seller..
