"In a perfect world, this book would be average. In today's REAL world, it's trash." according to Concerned IT Worker. I understand the reason for the existence of a book like this. But the execution is wow. It is full of buzz words and vague descriptions of ideal situations that just don't exist in real life. I feel that this book was made by an hands-off executive level manager who may have been technical 25 years ago, and still thinks he is. But he really has no idea about how to implement the ivory tower ideas in this book. They are not fit for the "real world". But what you learn in this book would make great buzzword bingo, or convers. Philip Nelson said Makes a usually dry topic interesting !!!. Information Governance isn't a topic I'd normally enjoy reading about (in fact I've been known to describe the topic in the past as "dry as dust"). But as an Information Management professional it is a topic that it is my responsibility to know about.
