Really enjoyed this book Really enjoyed this book. The author provides a new perspective of our judicial and penal system that is unlike other authors. Along with building up the essences of the local judicial system he also builds the main character in a manner that you can feel the pain, frustration and vulnerability of young attorney trying vigorously to protect each of his clients from a corrupt legal system. The character is built in a very realistic manner and you are draw in by his growth as an attorney as he finds ways to protect his clients. An enjoyable book and worth reading.. I really enjoyed this book bobcat I really enjoyed this book! Colorful and vivid use of language, unique and refreshing storyline that ties in social and cultural insights with a healthy touch of metaphor. The characters and places are developed to the point where you feel you are there. Compelling and thought-provoking commentary on the criminal justice system, well paced with twists and turns, demonstrating a deep understanding of the law and legal system. This book maintains a high bar for the reader's intellect. It's humorous and irreverent at times, but sincere. Highly recommended.. It's Not Perry Mason! Kent This is an excellent read and well worth the time. The author's knowledge of the real world of legal sparing in the courtroom shows through. The character development is precise and you can easily put yourself in the courtroom as you watch the protagonists fight to preserve the rights of the accused, even if the accused are clearly guilty or less than sympathetic. The fact that the main character doesn't always win brings a realism to the book that is often missing in other legal novels. I hope to see future stories from this author.
