Great book Coolgrandma I love historical fiction. The author is an excellent writer. This is a prequel to Roses. Almost wish I had read Somerset before Roses.. Beautiful Historical Tale B. Beal Every detail was believable and interesting. Nothing was outlandish or ridiculous. Every character was like a real historical person living in early times with so many unknowns. They are brave people with real challenges and strong hearts. Loved this story!. Rebecca Souter said I couldn't put this book down!. Somerset is a great historical fiction novel about early settlers to Texas, the trials they encountered along the way, and the lives they made with hard work and dedication. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it.
