This book presents approximately 250 of southern Africa's most commonly seen trees in a succinct and easily accessible way. Thumbnail silhouettes of leaf shapes are used to lead the reader to the most likely group or family of trees and thus eliminate some of the confusion that arises in trying to identify trees to species' level. Distribution maps pinpoint the areas in which the trees occur.
