It's a good book to open up discussion about President Lincoln and the Civil War with older students, as well.. Love this story Amazon Customer Love this story. It is based on the truth. Historical fiction. My students love to hear the story of President Lincoln's son, his love for animals and desire to save the turkey from the dinner table.
