"From dog to driver" according to David A. Brayshaw. What an odd idea, to write a book from the perspective of a dog. He self educates when he is alone at home and the TV is left on for company. So, his education is media based. Wanting to be just like his owner, a professional race car driver, he learns about reincarnation from a series on TV and longs to return, following his death, as a driver, hence, the title, "racing is the rain". But, does this actually h. "I loved this book" according to Shilo. Unique and beautiful! Enzo's story is told from his own standpoint and in purely intelligent human language. It's a completely impossible premise, and yet when reading it, I bought in immediately. The fact that a couple of the plot lines are pretty predictable doesn't detract from the enjoyment, the book is a great experience and it's all good. Loved this read, and that enjoyment has led me to now read Lily an. Lose your cynicism I started this book a year ago, but must have been in the wrong mood. From a dog's POV? Give me a break. But a couple days ago I picked it up again, and was charmed into it,falling gently into the story. Tragedy and family drama between generationsvery well done.
