Disappointing Doesn't Even Cover It JR Ward used to be my “crack author”. Anything she wrote, I would read. When I heard she was publishing a contemporary romance series outside her paranormal series, I was very interested. The blurb for The Bourbon Kings (The Boubon Kings #1) reminded me of Sugar Daddy or Blue Eyed Devil from Lisa Kleypas’ Travis Family series. Both those books. I should have got a refund! Tasha levengood I have advice for you when buying books. Wait for it. Read reviews and not just the good ones. Even for your favorite Authors. This book to me related like the old evening soaps like Dynasty and Knots landing. And someone please tell me how this book is listed as a Romance? There was none!
