"Orlemann delivers the goods once again" according to Chris Frizell. What a great book. I am an avid fan of machinery, especially Caterpillar Machines, and have not been able to put this one down since it was delivered. It is a large book, well presented and the quality is second to none. You will need a strong arm to carry it around though, but its place on the coffee table is assured. It has a huge range of photo's and some cutaway drawings, the majority of which I have not seen in any other publication. I will have many happy hours of pleasure reading, and re-reading this . Cat lover's bible This book is fascinating for all ages. Nice big pictures. I like how it focuses on the equipment. My young nephew who loves Bob the Builder stares wide-eyed at the pictures and makes sound effects. My dad loves the story of how the company went from the first tractor to the big haul trucks and mining equipment of today. Then there's me, who loves showing off the book on my coffee table. The cover is cool, too. You can't see it on the screen, but it has diamond plate equipment texture. Just don't drop it on . Jerome L. Coggins said If you've ever worked for "Cat", you gotta get this!!!. I'm from Central Illinois, and when I grew up, you either farmed or worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company. My father worked for many years at Cat, and he thoroughly enjoyed this book. He passed it on to my grandmother, who worked for more than thirty years at Cat. So, go out and get that "hard to buy for" Cat retiree this book, and you'll make their day! By the way, Dad, you are very welcome!
