Easy Tree Guide Ryan D. Wilke I don't have other tree books to compare this one against, but it seems to be good enough for my needs. It's small in size so it's easy enough to pack along while hiking yet detailed enough to be able to get the ID work done. Some tree descriptions have good ID detail whi. Maine Knight said Incomplete and biased. This tree guide is very incomplete. While I can understand that not every tree species can be included in a small guide, many important native trees that are common in my area are omitted. One of the omitted trees is our native 'Cabbage Palm'. This Palm is the 'state tree. EugeSchu said Simple and short intro text at nice price. Not to mention nicely illustrated. One page description with opposing page picture. A can't lose formula.
