Renee @ Mother Daughter Book Reviews said Delightfully whimsical fishy tale with a great message. My son (6) and I read and reviewed this book for Mother Daughter Book Reviews. Here are our thoughts:SON SAYS:This story is about an octopus and an eel who go in a race with all kinds of other sea animals like fish, a shark, a crab, a whale, and a SNAIL? What?! They go through caves and they go through a sunken boat where the whale gets stuck. Everybody tries to help, but it's Eel and Ock who get him out. At first, I didn't expect who won to win, but the race was fun for everyone.I loved all the pictures in the book and my favorite one was the one was where Mark the Snail was on the cannonball. My favorite . 'The Great Reef Race' is a suspenseful and delightful picture rhyming Jeanna Z (Zivalich) 'The Great Reef Race' is a suspenseful and delightful picture rhyming book that is well written and well executed. The rhyme and meter in this story is incredibly artistic and creative. The story line is not only creative but is energetic, exciting, and plain ol' fun. It was so cleverly written and humorous. I especially enjoyed the 'crab with running shoes!' This story has a strong beginning that will be sure to captivate to the very end. And what a surprise to learn of the winner of The Great Reef Race. But then again; optimism always prevails.Jeanna Zivalich (Author)amazon.com/gp/profile/A2V591AWDX1LBC.
