DESCRIPTION:
More than thirty years ago Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed for what J. Edgar Hoover called "the crime of the century." Partisans of the Rosenbergs have claimed their conviction was a frame-up, the result of Cold War hysteria tinged with anti-Semitism. Drawing on hundreds of thousands of recently released FBI, CIA and AEC documents, interviews and personal accounts, The Rosenberg File presents a careful and cogent marshalling of the facts. Updated with a new introduction and appendix. Winner of the 1983 Oppy Award for Best Nonfiction Book in the Espionage Genre.. For more than thirty years belief has been a substitute for fact; polemic, a stand-in for analysis - until now. Its conclusions, based on painstaking research, will please neither side, but at last the Rosenberg case has received the kind of objective treatment
Incredible Story Stanley R. Schneider I found this book in a used book store. I had heard of this case, but never read about it. Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were accused of being instrumental in a spy ring that stole U.S. nuclear and military secrets and provided them to the Soviet Union. They were executed in 1953. The author seems to be very thorough and even handed to me, and has written the definitive book on the subject which he updated in the 1990's when records from the former Soviet Union became available. The author believes the Rosen. The book was in great condition, at a great price The book was in great condition, at a great price. And, the story was fascinating. If you enjoy reading history, this is a book that you would enjoy. Incredible story, concerning of the coming of the atomic bomb.
