I have purchased many books on slack key guitar, and other books about slack key ukulele.I have also spent many hours watching videos of slack key guitar and ukulele. Nothing has been as helpful as Mark Kailana Nelson's new book, The Uke Buke". He has a number of teaching videos on YouTube, to accompany this book, which shows finger positions for both hands in a very clear way, and allows a thorough knowledge of tempo and style. I also purchased his CD "Slack Key . Art said Slack Key Ukulele Instruction At Its Best. Mark Nelson picks up the beginner and leads him/her on a wonderful journey of discovery into the art of slack key ukulele playing. The traditional Hawaiian tunes he teaches are magical.
