Would I recommend this book to anyone K. Hodges It was enjoyable escape literature. The humor in it was fun. I would recommend it to anyone for light reading. I gave it three stars because of the humor and fanciful bantering between the two main characters. Without that I would have given it one star.. "Wicked Widow Indeed!" according to paula_k_98. I'm not a fan of historicals; however, the title of Ms. Quick's latest release caught my eye several months ago so I ordered it. I am so glad I did. This is a delightful romp with wonderful characters and the sharp, witty dialogue that has been missing from her last couple of books.Madeline Deveridge is known as the Wicked Widow. They say she killed her husband. The gentlemen of society have placed wagers for the man who can spend the night with her and live to tell about it. Madeline is being haunted by her late husband. She enlists the aid of Artemis Hunt to help her fi. On a bad day, Quick is still better A Customer On a bad day, Amanda Quick's romance novels are still better than most other writers on a good day. While I am obviously a fan, it is fair to say that both the plot and characters in this book are very derivative. I really had a strong sense of deja vu while I was reading Wicked Widow. If Quick is going to rewrite one of her books, I suggest Rendezvous! While I didn't burn up the pages reading Widow, I'm glad I stuck with it. The ending is absolutely charming. So, borrow it from the public library or wait for the paperback if you must, but don't ignore it altogether.
